August Meeting Minutes

Attendees: Penn's, Bell's, Pedroza, Smith's, Painter's, Burchett's, Cherry's

- Catering: We have decided to stay with Wriggles. Crystal will work with Wriggles to get a one year commitment at our current rates and we will re-evaluate next year. If Wriggles needs to increase the rate then we will have the opportunity to increase our registration rates at the same time.

- September Meeting: We will pick weekends for next year as well as discuss the registration rates for next year.

- National website has been updated and the logo has changed.

- Financial Guidelines: Unit 2 has set up financial guidelines to enable local coordinators to make decisions in a timely manner. Crystal passed around Unit 2's guidelines as an example. She will use it to set up guidelines for our community that we can approve as policy.

- Local Coordinator Transition Guide: Crystal passed around a Local Coordinator Transition Guide List that another community uses to smooth the transition when new coordinators are discerned in. Painter's will be discerned out as coordinators in March 2009.

- Convention:
- logo is finished. Crystal will send to Frank to put on convention website.
- Veola working on speakers.
- Everyone agreed that we would rather have a few really good speakers as opposed to a bunch of breakout sessions/speakers, where some are good and some aren't.
