Feb. Meeting/Enrichment

Hello everyone! Sorry we had to miss the Christmas party. Hope you all had a great time. Thank you Smith's for hosting.

We had a very productive Unit meeting in El Paso that weekend. We would like to have a meeting and enrichment for our community on Friday, February 29th at 7pm. We will spend 30 min. going over business from the unit meeting, and the remainder of the time will be an enrichment. Veola loaned us a set of DVD's from "Laugh Your Way America". The first DVD is called "Tale of Two Brains" Part I - Unlocking the secrets to life, love and marriage. These are presented by a nationally acclaimed marriage expert named Mark Gungar and in this series he "delves into the mysteries of men's and women's brains with humor and life-changing insight."
This is the first of a two part series. It should be a lot of fun to watch together.

Nate & I will be happy to host the get together at our home-1134 Castle Dale Circle (11660 S.), unless anyone else has a bigger TV room that would like to host. It would be easier to watch the DVD without children, but please don't let that stop you from coming, we have a kid friendly home with lots of toys and another TV room.

Also, please remember that the Nat'l convention is going to be held on Oct 3-5th 2008 in Wichita, KS. It would be great if our entire community could attend since we will be hosting the 2009 convention so that we all get a feel as to how one is run. Please email Painter's to let us know if you are even possibly planning on attending so we can work out a budget. Please do NOT let finances be a reason not to go. Our Unit coordinators (Pinon's) have offered to seek out donations from the District and/or other communities to help out with cost. Right now they are saying the registration fee will be approx. $240-270 per couple including meals (not including hotel or childcare). Once they have the hotel and childcare rates they will let us know and we will forward onto you.
