Action items are highlighted in red

Date: 11/6/10
Time: 11a
Location: Belgian Waffle House
Coordinated by: Painters

Attendees: Ken and Veola Burchett, Jack and Taffy Hale, JP Larkin, Allison Mueller, Nate and Crystal Painter, Frank and JoAnna Pedroza, Bryan and Karen Penn

November Weekend
  • Will be presented by Burchetts and Larkins, with Painters hosting. Painters will pick up breakfast for Saturday morning.
  • Frank will put together room assignments and email to Crystal so that she can print name tags for the room doors - this is done.
  • Jim and Allison will talk to Mike regarding food schedule and delivery.
2011 Weekends
  • All weekends are going to be 2 day / 1 night weekends. We will be using the Episcopal Retreat Center, Crystal Inn in Midvalley and Ramada Inn by the airport.
  • Registration fee will remain $300, $275 if paid 30 days in advance.
Christmas Party
  • Penns will coordinate with Blessed Sacrament to find a date in January
EE Christmas Card
  • We will be putting together a Christmas card to send out to priests, etc.
  • Everyone, please email a picture of you and your spouse to Frank by November 30th.
  • Frank will put together a photo collage with an EE logo.
  • Allison will coordinate ordering and mailing the cards.
New Outline
  • The new presentation outline was released at the National Convention in Seattle. All communities must begin using the new outline no later than 1/1/2012.
  • Pedrozas will email the new outline file to those that did not get it at the convention.
  • There is no longer a “junior” and “senior” designation. Now they are “A” and “B”. Anyone can write either talks. Everyone, please let Frank and JoAnna know by 11/30/2010 which set of talks you would prefer to write. We will then make sure that we have an equal number of couples writing each set. We want to establish the groups by the end of the year. Couples can certainly write both sets of talks if they wish, but it is important that we are prepared as a community to present weekends beginning in 2012.
  • We will set community goals at the beginning of 2011 for writing the talks.
  • All talks will need to be workshopped. More information to follow.
  • If there are any couples interested in writing talks for the first time, now would be an ideal time to start, as they would have a year before any presenting commitment.
Priests on weekend
  • We discussed the importance of having a priest on weekends.
  • Karen will talk to Blessed Sacrament to see how they coordinate bringing in priests to cover masses so that the local priests can attend events.
  • We want to get community members out talking with their parish priests about our weekends. Crystal will coordinate so that we are not duplicating efforts.
Meeting with the Bishop
  • Frank and JoAnna will be meeting with the Bishop on 12/3.
