- 6 to12 month follow up evaluation was tabled again as we had a low attendance. Although the consensus seemed to be that it would be tough to do with little return.
- 2004 weekend schedule was discussed. All senior spots except for May are filled. Junior weekends are missing Jan, April, June, July, Aug, & November! PLEASE PRAY FOR JUNIOR COUPLES!!
- 2004 meeting schedule was discussed. No one has scheduled to host a weekend yet.
- National convention will be Oct 6th. We discussed the possibility of being able to fund as much as the community can so that as many couples who want to attend can. We asked everyone to discern whether or not they will go and let us know so we can plan financially for the number of people who want to go.
- Discussed new recruit couples- Love's are being workshopped by Hale's (Jr. couple), Bleicker's are going to attend the January weekend to observe.
- Discussed audit process. Agreed that we should do one internal audit a year, and an external audit the following year. (internal/external every other year)
- Still working on ability to accept credit cards for registration/donations
- Discussed Unit Meeting- Got community census on increasing Unit/District/National coordinators terms to 3 years. It was suggested at Unit that we allow for 2 consecutive 2yr terms instead. Community was split on decision.
- Community decided to start doing "community workshopping" to update talks. We will begin doing this in February with "Introduction" talks at the February meeting. We will utilize this as our enrichment.
- We discussed asking corporations for donations (laptops, projectors, frequent flyer miles, etc.) Tom Cherry agreed to write a "Corporate donations letter" from the community that we can mail to several corporations asking for their assistance. Please give us your ideas as to what companies we should target. Some ideas from the meeting: Delta (donated flyer miles, La Quinta, Westgate Hotel, Best Buy, Circuit City, etc.
- Discussed letter from Sister Danile regarding an increase in our rate from $60 a person to $65 a person. Decided to not increase registration fee, rather to watch our finances for the next quarter or two first. Also decided to offer Sister the ability to do a brunch on Sunday vs. breakfast and lunch on Sunday to help decrease her costs.
